All right fellas, this tip should be straight up common sense. Unfortunately, for some of you it is not!

Burns

As far as the burns are concerned (sideburns if you are still wondering), no lower than the ear lobe. If you choose to venture that low or further, remember that Beverly Hills 90210 was popular in the 90’s. The 90’s! Also, keep them trimmed up in between haircuts (note: braided sideburns are not cool).

Brows

For the brows… do we really need to comment on this? Okay, you saw Gladiator right? Awesome movie that took place in ancient Roman times. Now, when it came to fighting lions and riding around in chariots, the Romans kicked ass! But, all that fighting and riding around didn’t really leave a whole lot of time to be concerned with how your eyebrows looked. Don’t look like an extra from that movie! Buy yourself a good grooming tweezer and get to work. Tweeze after a hot shower and gently pull in the direction that the hair is growing. Again, trimmage with some clippers or scissors is good here.

Why Does My Nose Itch?

Seriously guys… do we really have to say this? This little tip should go without saying, but some guys just aren’t taking care of the issue. We want to do our part to get the word out about nose hair.

Have you ever been driving down the road, or walking through town and found yourself wondering, “Why does my nose itch???” It’s because you have a stray hair hanging out of your nose saying to everyone you pass “Hey! Look at me!” That’s just not cool.

Now come on fellas, this is not a hard problem to solve. Get yourself a nose hair clipper… problem solved! Make sure you clip them because plucking those little suckers could leave you with ingrown hairs inside your nose… OUCH!

Nose hair clippers are easy to use, easy to clean (please clean your clipper), and inexpensive; so get a clipper and keep those hairs where they belong… INSIDE YOUR NOSE!

Creams vs. Gels

Shaving Gels

Aerosol shaving gels or foams are by far the most popular product available. Not because they work better, because they are easy to use and find. Gels and foams provide a handful of lather at the press of a button, but it’s the quality of the lather, not the quantity that is important. What really matters is what is going on at the interface between skin and shaving cream. Most gels and foams use gas to produce their foam. The gas (isobutane or propane) is compressed to liquid form and mixed in with the shaving substance. Then, when it is removed from the container at the touch of a button the pressure reduction allows it to move back into a gas state, providing the foaming action. Although what comes out of the can may appear fluffy and rich, it is mostly gas that provides no protection when you scrape a razor across your skin.

Shaving & Depilatories

Shaving is not a recommended remediation because the maintenance is extremely high and one slip with the razor could leave you with a lopsided brow.

Also, stay away from using depilatories (i.e. Nair). Most depilatories remove hair by using a harsh chemical called calcium thioglycolate, which weakens the hair and causes it to break off where it emerges from the hair follicle. Tweezing
